LAMETER is glad to inform you that in February, together with IES Innovative Equipment Supply Corp, has been participating to the TISE exhibition, the main event of the year for the USA/CANADA market in the surfaces sector, which was held as usual in Las Vegas.
The International Surface Event is aimed at a professional audience operating in the flooring industry, including retailers, builders, installers, designers, architects. This spectacular exhibition showcases international products and equipment. In addition, conferences are held on the development of the industry and upcoming trends.
LAMETER had the opportunity to present some of its equipment for stone quarries: from the Apuania bucket to the hydraulic pusher, from the forks for blocks to the ripper tooth.
The feedback for us was excellent… a great start of the year with the right energy!

Lameter and “reverse engineering” with the 3D scanner

Lameter has always responded to the needs of those working in the earthmoving machine sector. Today we are telling you about a ‘case study’, i.e. a situation in which our Engineering department gave concrete answers to a customer.

We are in Egypt, in a gold mine. The customer asks for two replacement “visors” (mobile part of a front opening bucket) to be mounted on a “back door” he already has (red piece). The machine is a Terex RH170 with an operating weight of 400T. Based on the latest technology and the use of our 3D scanner, we captured the dimensions of the machine and equipment in the customer’s mine. Our technicians then carried out ‘reverse engineering’ using the point cloud exported by the 3D scanner, which was essential to proceed with the customised design of the new equipment In the workshop, workers assembled, welded, bored and painted the ‘visor’. The equipment was delivered directly to the machine site and was installed on it, working perfectly. Do you have a special need for a machine you already own? Do you want to make a modification? LAMETER is pleased to announce the delivery of one of the largest ROCK BUCKETS in the World, designed and built for a machine at the top of the CATERPILLAR wheel loader range, the 250-ton CAT 994K with 1,850HP of power.
The bucket is intended for a gold mine in Africa (Zambia), where it will allow the user company to work 24/7, 365 days a year no stop, to achieve the highest levels of productivity in total safety.
Here are some features of the ROCK BUCKET:
– Dimensions: 7mt wide, 3mt high and 3.5mt deep, for a total weight of 29.500Kg;
– 21 cubic meters of effective bucket capacity;
