Lameter has always responded to the needs of those working in the earthmoving machine sector. Today we are telling you about a ‘case study’, i.e. a situation in which our Engineering department gave concrete answers to a customer.
We are in Egypt, in a gold mine. The customer asks for two replacement “visors” (mobile part of a front opening bucket) to be mounted on a “back door” he already has (red piece). The machine is a Terex RH170 with an operating weight of 400T. Based on the latest technology and the use of our 3D scanner, we captured the dimensions of the machine and equipment in the customer’s mine. Our technicians then carried out ‘reverse engineering’ using the point cloud exported by the 3D scanner, which was essential to proceed with the customised design of the new equipment In the workshop, workers assembled, welded, bored and painted the ‘visor’. The equipment was delivered directly to the machine site and was installed on it, working perfectly. Do you have a special need for a machine you already own? Do you want to make a modification? You can no longer find the original part? |
